Aston Martin Lagonda Limited is a manufacturer of luxury performance cars, whose headquarters are at Gaydon, Warwickshire, England in the United Kingdom. The company name is derived from the Aston Clinton hill climb and one of the company's founders, Lionel Martin. From 1994 until 2007 Aston Martin was part of the Premier Automotive Group, a division of the Ford Motor Company. On 12 March 2007, it was purchased by a British consortium led by Dave Richards of Prodrive for £479 million.

Cocktails!

The InterContinental London Park Lane launched two new cocktails that pay homage to Aston Martin.

Marking the return of Aston Martin to British hands, the the ‘Aston Martini’ and the ‘DB7’ have been created by the hotel’s Mixologist, Joel Lawrence and Bar Manager, Stuart Rosenblatt

The ‘Aston Martini’

60ml x No TEN Tanqueray Gin

30ml x Fresh Apple Juice

10ml x Gomme Syrup

5ml x Lemon Juice

6 – 8 White Grapes

2 inches of Cucumber

½ Green Apple

Ice

Method: Blend apples, cucumber and white grapes. Add the Gomme Syrup followed by lemon juice. Double strain into mixing glass making sure there is approximately 30ml. Add ice, T10 gin and fresh apple juice. Shake and strain into a martini glass and garnish with a mint leaf.

The ‘DB7’

50ml x Hennessy VSOP

20ml x Dandelion & Burdock Cordial

1 x Wedge of Lime squeezed into shaker

Ice

Method: Stir all ingredients with ice then strain into a martini glass.
